App Overview

With GeoReality you can explore the world around you, find its points of interest, and reach these places in an innovative and easy way.

The app uses Augmented and Virtual Reality to let you “See” places you add to your Map through your mobile Camera by showing markers representing these places with their real-time distances and directions according to your real or virtual location.

With GeoReality you can search for places and get detailed information about them like address, phone number, website, and photos that will be downloaded from Google.

By using the Navigation feature you can reach any place just by following a set of waypoints markers shown on the camera screen in front of you. It’s just like video games but this time in reality.

And don’t forget to enable actions for any place to put your phone on silent mode or to show a notification when you reach that place.

Publish your business location and information on Google Maps so everyone can find it.

Change you location to any place in the world to start a Virtual Tour using an augmented version of Street View.

*These gestures will only work if your mobile has a compass sensor, otherwise you will be immediately directed to the Map page and you will not be able to use the Camera interface.

FAQ

o   Does the app needs an internet connection to work?

The app may occasionally need to connect to the internet to show the map or to perform place searching operations or to get information about these places. But all the downloaded data (Map , places..) will be temporary stored on your device which means you can continue to use the app even when there is no internet connection.

o   Does the app works on all smart phones?

The app works on Android devices starting from version 2.3 or higher. But it’s preferable to have an orientation sensor (compass) in your mobile to be able to use the Camera Interface (otherwise you can only use the Map page in the app). Also you will have to enable location on your mobile.

o   When I open the Map page the app asks me to update Google Play Services

GeoReality needs an updated version of Google Play Services to show Map. Go to Google Play store and update.

o   No places markers shown on Camera Interface

First, be sure you add places to your map. You can do this directly from the camera screen by searching for Nearby places . If no places shown on the screen after the search completed, or the markers doesn’t move correctly when you turn to the left or right, this could mean that the orientation sensor (compass) may need Calibration. Press the menu button on your device and click “Calibrate”.

Also try to adjust the places view range to the appropriate limit to show the places markers.

o   The Camera Interface doesn’t open when I lift the mobile upward

You can use gestures to switch between camera screen and map, but clicking the  button in the camera/map dual view mode will directly open Map page overriding gestures. (Use it to show map when your mobile is in vertical position).
